This workshop belongs to the series of online workshops on “countries and regions initiatives supporting zero emission road freight and logistics” jointly organised by EMEurope and ALICE, with the support of the POLIS Network and project ENTRANCE. In this workshop, organised by Piedmont Region and Finpiemonte S.p.A. and supported by the Ministry of University and Research (MUR), the Italian and Piedmontese policies, strategies and solutions for zero-emission mobility and logistics were presented. The goal was to bring together representatives from institutions (national, regional and urban), research and companies to discuss the state of the art, strategies and technological solutions to accelerate the transition to zero-emission mobility and logistics in European regions and countries.
In the first session of the workshop, the speakers reported on the national and regional framework, both at the political and industrial level. The second session of the workshop was dedicated to the interaction and debate with different operators, for a reflection on innovation for logistics.

Mutual learning and exchange of information are an essential basis for the development and implementation of effective national, regional and local incentives for the electrification of transport and mobility. Therefore, the networks of EMEurope, ETP-ALICE and Polis, supported by the European Commission, have joined forces in organising an online event on the conditions, incentives and regulations for large scale electrification of Urban Freight and City Logistics. During this event, input presentations were provided from the complementary networks which served as launching pads for discussions in break-out sessions with the participants.
